New Super Mario Bros U is a free 2D side-scrolling platformer video game developed and published by Nintendo. The game follows Mario, Luigi, and two Toads as they attempt to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser and his Koopalings. It features gameplay elements such as jumping on enemies and collecting coins and powerups to enhance Mario's abilities and navigating through various levels filled with obstacles and enemies.

As they make their way back to the castle, Mario and his friends must travel through various worlds, each with its own unique theme, such as grasslands, deserts, forests, and icy mountains.

Along the way, they must battle Bowser's Koopalings, who serve as bosses at the end of each world. In addition to the Koopalings, Bowser himself also serves as the final boss of the game, with Mario and his friends facing off against him in a final showdown in his castle. However, some may find that the levels can become repetitive with similar themes and obstacles being repeated across different worlds.

Despite having repetitive levels, all in all, the gameplay experience of New Super Mario Bros U is a fun and exciting addition to the Mario series, offering classic gameplay with new features and mechanics, multiplayer modes, and challenging levels.
